Mzukulu New Song & Album[/caption]
Mzukulu New Song & Album: Mzukulu embodies South Africa’s maskandi sound’s rural roots and Zulu traditions. Mzuluku was born Sfanele Dumisani Zulu and nurtured deep in the rustic Ngungumbane tribal authority in the KwaZulu-Natal region of Engeza.
He is the grandson of the late maskandi performers Phumangelakhe and Thuleleni (Ma-Hlela) Buthelezi. Adolescent Mzukulu began performing in shebeens and community centers in 2010. In 2017, he published his debut album, Vukani Nonke, in which he sang in a quiet, serious voice while leading his band on acoustic guitar.
Mzukulu’s passion of his homeland’s natural splendors is shown in songs like “Makabahle” and “Wemfama” while 2019’s Mabili Amaxoki couples Mzukulu with maskandi singers like Thokozani Langa and Inyosi Mdletshe.
